SALT - Rejoice

It was my turn to set the challenge this week.

My piece has been inspired by the lovely flowers on Joanne's blog. I wanted to create something bright and cheery, to remind me to Rejoice when I don't feel like it!

The Bible says to Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS.

This is a verse that I keep meditating on as its one of those that pops into your head, but is very hard for your heart to grasp sometimes.

When we go through trials, or we can see others suffering, getting to the truth of this verse is vital.

It doesn't say Rejoice for the sake of it, it says Rejoice in the LORD, the one who has saved us from the punishment we deserve, the ALMIGHTY one, who LOVES us so much.

2sketches4you - Wedding card

Sold some cards this morning and was comissioned to make this for a wedding...

Have finished a paper bag album comission, will share pics soon.

I've been using Google reader for a few weeks now, it's fab! I just love it. It saves so much time clicking on all my fave blogs. Basically you program the blogs you want to be kept up to date with into it, then you automatically get updated when a new post is written. Check it out if you don't already have it!

Anyway, here's the card based on recent 2sketches4you diagram...

It is Lythan's turn to challenge you this time (hello!) I have chosen a fairly broad theme - with 150 variations - From frustration and anger to joy and support. there is so much in the book of Psalms. I'd like you to reflect on a favourite verse - or whole psalm and interpret it as you feel led.

I took the following verse as inspiration, from Psalm 1.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
I love the imagery this creates, and it really helps to remember that we should be planted in the Word of God.
